Revolution in the Air - The Songs of Bob Dylan, Volume I 1957 - 1973

Revolution in the Air - The Songs of Bob Dylan, Volume I 1957 - 1973, recounts the story of each song as it is written, giving a full appreciation of the songs themselves as well as Dylan the emerging artist. Unlike any other book on Dylan, it charts his rise as a writer, where he gained his inspiration, the burst of energy that produced some of his most famous songs and the lesser known stories behind the more iconic verses. Dylan wrote 600 songs and Volume I covers the first 300.

Clinton Heylin is one of the most distinguished writers on Bob Dylan in the world and his biography, Bob Dylan, Behind the Shades - take two (the updated version) has been in print ever since it was published in 2000. The book is published to coincide with Bob Dylan's UK tour dates which begin in Sheffield on the 24th April and end in Edinburgh on the 3rd May.
